The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in India. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year, in May and December.

The NEET exam pattern is as follows:

  • The exam is a 720-mark, single-shift, computer-based test.
  • The exam duration is 3 hours.
  • The exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying 4 marks.
  • There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
  • The questions are divided into 13 sections, namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English Language.
  • The weightage of each section is as follows:
    • Physics: 30%
    • Chemistry: 30%
    • Biology: 40%
    • English Language: 10%
